If it was amended in relation to the adoption getting that sealed original will be even harder than ever, really. Watch for the courts to say that birth records are not subject to the same FOIA as other government records. It only makes sense when one looks at the adoption records laws. Not even a grown adult can access their OWN birth certificate, much less a member of the public have access to an un-Amended version.

I suppose since this is pertaining to a specific Hawaii statute one may trump the other though. Should be interesting.

Actually, Hawaii has a law that an adopted child who is now an adult can access all of that ...even court records..without a court order.
I don’t know when that went into effect.
