I have always seen the anger, not some “great orator”, sound on or off.
You look at the mouth for the truth, not the eyes. His mouth is very angry when he’s pronouncing his “truths”, but there are frequent little flashes of a characteristic smirk when he’s lying - almost too quick to notice, so many people don’t, but there nontheless.
Michelle is simpler - just plain angry, though with an affected veneer of recently learned pleasantness often pasted on. But basically just seething with a hostility that’s irrefutable. Ugly - and ugly goes clear to the bone.
