Mencken. Anita Loos was madly in love with Mencken and it was rumored that they had an affair. However, Loos found out that Mencken preferred hot blonde chicks rather than women with brains like Loos. Annnnd...based on that experience, Loos wrote "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."
