The six year old who brought his Boy Scout pocket knife to school have been given a reprieve. He won't have to go to reform school for 45 days after all.
A Delaware first-grader who was facing 45 days in an alternative school as punishment for taking his favorite camping utensil to school can return to class after the school board made a hasty change granting him a reprieve.

Aren’t the Cub Scouts part of the Boy Scouts? Liberals HATE the Boy Scouts because they refuse to promote buggery. My guess is this boy and his (married) parents are being abused because they are a “traditional family” who are involved with an organization that believes in “traditional values.”
There’s a lot of assumptions there with no facts. I’m going to go with unimaginative school admins faced with a misguided rule.
True. This is the liberal's assassination of a decent kid.
It has nothing to do with the Boy Scouts and everything to do with the evil “zero tolerance” policies that schools are promoting at every turn.
Zero tolerance means zero judgment and zero discretion. It is the letter of the law with no understanding of the spirit of the law.
The story in the Gospels of the Pharisees who condemn Jesus and his disciples for “harvesting” on the Sabbath shows what God thinks of “zero tolerance” policies.
They only made the change because of public outrage.
This zero tolerance nonsense has to stop.
Except maybe zero tolerance for stupid adults who make these idiotic rules. 45 days in reform school? What country is this again? I forget.
Christina School Board members who came up with the zero tolerance rule should spend 45 days in the slammer.
No married parents. The father-figures are the boy’s karate teacher and his mother’s “fiance.”
This isn’t sanity. Sanity would be NO suspension. These school board idiots need to be stabbed with a just-sharpened pencil.
Sanity had nothing to do with it, the light of truth was shined on these idiots and they got lost in the glare. They could not handle the heat.
What a great point! I never thought of that.
Five minutes in the principal's office being told why he shouldn't bring a knife to school should have been enough--end of story.
