They're calling, Sarah. This one is made to order for you. Huck is a weasel on this race and Romney is sitting out.

Maybe the Hoffman people haven't asked, but a facebook posting would be good, as Stacy McCain suggests.

Get over it, Sarah Palin is not the cure for what ails the Republican Party and I doubt she has the time to campaign for everyone all over the country.
She’s interesting and certainly a lightening rod but the Big Question is what is her role?
I would imagine her book will sell well and she will command great fees on the speaking circuit but then what?
Does she want to be a serious candidate or a wall flower?

Why don’t the voters just go out and vote for the conservative? Do they really need Sarah to tell them that? Elections are not won or lost if Gov. Palin speaks up or doesn’t.

I suspect Sarah is keeping her powder dry. A misstep at this point would be difficult to overcome. Was it Mark Twain to go where you’re wanted much, little and where you’re wanted little, not at all?

I agree with the poster that said she’s not a cure all for the GOP. No one has ever contemplated getting into the run for the POTUS with so much already working against them. Hopefully her advisers are helping her keep a low profile while she gets her message together and ready for prime time.

And it could also be that she sees the GOP as a dead horse.

Palin is no magic wand that can make anyone win. Just ask John McCain.

Owens is going to win this easily. It will be portrayed in the media as a HUGE win for Obama. Obama carried this district last year by 4 or 5 points. Plus, the GOP ticket is split between their candidate and the NY conservative candidate. It's an early Christmas present to the DNC from New York Republicans and conservatives - yipee.

Al, I might be wrong on this one, but I’m still not convinced that she needs to get herself involved with perpetually dirty New York politics.

I think Sarah is done. She’s making the same mistake Rudy made last year. I’m not saying I was for Rudy, I’m saying he mad a fatal mistake in disappearing for too long.

Hoffman is in the fight of his life against the GOP establishment's hand-picked RINO

So Sarah is supposed to be Joan of Arc and save the !@#$% GOP from itself...again?!?! These whiners should grow up.

But some of Hoffman's supporters are heartbroken that Sarah -- whom I dubbed the "Sweetheart of the Heartland" last year -- hasn't joined the fight against Dede Scozzafava...

Has anyone directly asked her or contacted her or they all assuming she knows she is needed? This is kind of like asking the girl to the middle school dance, all the guys waiting around for the girl to give a hint or make a move instead of just coming out and asking.

Some of the folks who want A, B, or C to jump into this small town congressional election to endorse a candidate
are the same who are looking for excitement is their dull world.
There is another motive for the ones who want to draw in
Palin, Huck, Mitt, or who ever and it is not just for endorsement

I am not kidding, I live up here and I cannot believe that they threw up Didi to take McHugh’s seat. Mchugh has always been known as a right to life representative. I hate to say it but the dim o crat looks like he is more conservative than the didi.

Maybe some of you here could:

1. STFU
2. Get off your ass
3. Do something

Then Sarah wouldn’t have to ride in and save the day all the time, not that she can anyway if we don’t get out there and work.

Could be the point spread is too close. If Sarah jumps in and splits the vote and a Dem gets in, she’ll be made to own it. If the Dem is running away with it, she could offer support to Hoffman to gauge her pull with voters without saying she impacted the race negatively. If it’s a case of Hoffman or the RINO and the Dem is trailing badly, she should consider throwing support Hoffman’s way.

Too soon She has to pick her fights if she wants to get elected president she needs the Republican Party Unless you want her to go third party which there may be one if the Republicans don’t shape up. Right Now the Republican party is full of RINOS this is one race next year there will be lots of races to make her voice be heard. If she doesn’t then maybe she does not want to be President Right now you need to find out who is running in your district and support the conservative now and talk to your neighbors about them because the message is not going to get through the media! and maybe not the by the Republican party either

Key quote from article: “No official in the Hoffman campaign has said a word to me about Sarah Palin.”

If Hoffman wants the job he needs to run a great campaign. There should be no jabs taken at Sarah for this.

Just a thought... Maybe Hoffmann doesn't WANT her to campaign for him? If he wants her help, he can ask for it. Even a superhero usually needs to be called, right?

If Hoffmann is interested in her support, I'm sure she would give it. We don't know all the dynamics behind each and every campaign. To conclude that Palin wouldn't want to support Hoffmann because he hasn't the R is speculative and disingenous. She has said before that she doesn't care for Party label.
