McCain didn’t run for the presidency, he merely “stood for election” in the 19th century sense of the term. He could have run his ‘campaign’ from his front porch in Arizona & been as effective — which is to say, not much.
You hit that on the head. He could have phoned in his campaign.
Thats what you get when the party picks a man whose only skill is double crossing the party.
