FEC.gov won't show you which individuals donated to President Obama

From http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/can_detail/P80003338/ at FEC.gov, it shows you the information for “Contributions Made by This Candidate’s Committees” and “Committees Who Gave to This Candidate,” but it won’t show you any information for “Individuals Who Gave to This Candidate.” After a couple minutes of waiting, you’ll be presented with the page, “Failed to open page.”

It's been this way as early as July 2009.

It does show you which individuals gave to John McCain.

Detailed information here:

They will not show all the offshore illegal money he got? The corruption is off the charts. If Bush had done 1/10th of what these people have done he would be in Gitmo forever.

Their query function doesn’t seem to be working.
Are you looking for a certain name in particular?

Interesting A-List. Hollywood walks lock-step that’s for sure.

Should be able to get a list here, if the server isn’t bogged down. Try it late at night.

Yes, I’m looking for ‘OBAMA, BARACK’. The error is expected, meaning that you can’t see his individual contributors. It works for McCain, and all other major presidential candidates.

It worked here. It did timeout one time I tried it but worked a second time. I think it is probably more of a network issue. I wouldn’t attribute it to a conspiracy. Especially as there are so many other sites you also can pull this from, like Open Secrets.

Obama did not take public money, which I think gets him off the hook for audit and disclosure.

Colin Powell...I am quite surprised. Unless he used a straw donator for his contribution to Obama.

Maybe you need to look for individual donations to obama for america or obama victory fund ?

I know the PUMA PAC has done a lot of research on this, but haven't kept up with it for quite awhile.
