Figured I'd throw this in as an epilogue...

SURPRISED BY JOY
~ William Wordsworth

Surprised by joy -impatient as the wind
I turned to share the transport - Oh! with whom
But Thee, deep buried in the silent tomb,
That spot which no vicissitude can find?
Love, faithful love, recalled thee to my mind -
But how could I forget thee? Through what power,
Even for the least division of an hour,
Have I been so beguiled as to be blind
To my most grievous loss? - That thought's return
Was the worst pang that sorrow ever bore
Save one, one only, when I stood forlorn,
Knowing my heart's best treasure was no more;
That neither present time, nor years unborn,
Could to my sight that heavenly face

You are turning into the man your Dog always knew you were.

Some day a very lucky woman is going grow to love you.

Forget the typos...... I'll save this one.

At 45, I nearly where you were, maybe worse.
I think of your freedom of mind, spirit and body.

Joe, that was beautiful. And I didn’t notice any typos. It was all too beautiful...

Well written J.

Well expressed.

You've figured out by yourself what many people take a lifetime to learn. And some never do.

It will get better and you will have your moment in the sun with someone new.

See what Eckhart Tolle says about the pain body

Although, I think you've nailed it on your own.

Saying goodbye to someone you love with everything you are, is one of the most difficult things anyone does.

This just must be my day to remember, and grieve my grief (*again*). Now I can never read one of your posts without knowing who is writing.

God bless you, FRiend.

God Bless you Joe and I hope you find a wonderful person to spend your next 40 years with. I have been very lucky in that respect. I found a wonderful man when I was very young and we have been happily married for almost 52 years. That is not to say we have not experienced grief of the most terrible sort but we experienced it together.
