SURPRISED BY JOY
~ William Wordsworth
Surprised by joy -impatient as the wind
I turned to share the transport - Oh! with whom
But Thee, deep buried in the silent tomb,
That spot which no vicissitude can find?
Love, faithful love, recalled thee to my mind -
But how could I forget thee? Through what power,
Even for the least division of an hour,
Have I been so beguiled as to be blind
To my most grievous loss? - That thought's return
Was the worst pang that sorrow ever bore
Save one, one only, when I stood forlorn,
Knowing my heart's best treasure was no more;
That neither present time, nor years unborn,
Could to my sight that heavenly face
Where were all the typos when I was looking for them?!?!?
You are turning into the man your Dog always knew you were.
Some day a very lucky woman is going grow to love you.
At 45, I nearly where you were, maybe worse.

You've figured out by yourself what many people take a lifetime to learn. And some never do.
It will get better and you will have your moment in the sun with someone new.
Although, I think you've nailed it on your own.
Saying goodbye to someone you love with everything you are, is one of the most difficult things anyone does.
This just must be my day to remember, and grieve my grief (*again*). Now I can never read one of your posts without knowing who is writing.
God bless you, FRiend.
Does her name really begin with a K?
