Two things: The family HAS heard from dear old Dad since he mowed Noor and her friend down in the parking lot.
Did Noor carry out her arranged marriage and then come back to the states and move in with her boyfriend?

I understand, my thought was that Queen Noor has been fighting for women’s rights and freedoms.
There has always been some slack, and that’s good, but it’s going too far now.

I agree with you about the threat of Islamic cultures, but the “melting pot” was early 20th century liberal ideology in and of itself. Besides, if we truly were a “melting pot,” there would be no black people left in this country (ie minority groups would have been fully absorbed into the population).

Perhaps what we should be striving for is a ‘melding pot’.
