I don't think we'll ever know. He doesn't look much like either. He looks like his maternal grandfather, with a deep tan. Could have been anyone with dark skin, dark hair,dark eye genes. Native Hawaiian even, or other Pacific Islander, plus Australian aborigine. Maybe he really was born in Indonesia, as Tami Duckworth said in one story in the Honolulu paper during the 2004 campaign. Borneo maybe or New Guinea.
