Very sad indeed, my gut tells me a good policy would be to withhold extreme opinions until enough information is available. Although if the government and military attempt to withhold factual information, such as names, background and affiliations then all civility is off the table. A good example would be if names are associated with those who represent Islam, Mexician or un-American interests should be exposed. For to shut down a major base, and have a number of incidents happen at once, sounds a bit planned.
Fort Hood has active gangs as well, including M13. I don’t know how bad the problem is now but it was the subject of several articles a couple of years ago.
