Actually, we probably did have Germans in the US Army. Japanese too.
But we didn’t have any Nazis in the US Army.

There is room in the US Army for Jordanians, Egyptians, etc, PROVIDED there is strong evidence that they are NOT active Muslims. To the extent that somebody is a Muslim, then they are bound by their religion to be the enemy of all who choose not to submit to Islam.
Evidence that somebody is an active Muslim should be treated the same as evidence that somebody is an active member of the Communist Party, or a neo-Nazi organization.
I'm pretty sure we had Nazi sympathizers in the Army. My father told me he had one Italian-American in his unit who would go on and prate about axis victories early in the war. (My father joined the NYNG in 1940 and was scheduled to be discharged early in 1942. How'd that work out for you, Dad?)
