Michelle's Retinue

Posted on 11/13/2009 4:09:30 PM PST by donaldo

Canadian Free Press published this list of names and salaries of Michelle Obama's retinue:

The benefit package for these servants of the first lady are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted assistants is paid by US taxpayers.

1. $172,2000 - Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff) 2.. $140,000 - Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady) 3. $113,000 - Rogers, Desiree G. (Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary) 4. $102,000 - Johnston, Camille Y. (Special Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the First Lady) 5. $100,000 - Winter, Melissa E. (Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady) 6. $90,000 - Medina, David S. (Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady) 7. $84,000 - Lelyveld, Catherine M. (Director and Press Secretary to the First Lady) 8. $75,000 - Starkey, Frances M. (Director of Scheduling and Advance for the First Lady) 9. $70,000 - Sanders, Trooper (Deputy Director of Policy and Projects for the First Lady) 10. $65,000 - Burnough, Erinn J. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary) 11. $64,000 - Reinstein, Joseph B. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary) 12. $62,000 - Goodman, Jennifer R. (Deputy Director of Scheduling and Events Coordinator For The First Lady) 13. $60,000 - Fitts, Alan O. (Deputy Director of Advance and Trip Director for the First Lady) 14. $57,500 - Lewis, Dana M. (Special Assistant and Personal Aide to the First Lady) 15. $52,500 - Mustaphi, Semonti M. (Associate Director and Deputy Press Secretary To The First Lady) 16. $50,000 - Jarvis, Kristen E. (Special Assistant for Scheduling and Traveling Aide To The First Lady) 17. $45,000 - Lechtenberg, Tyler A. (Associate Director of Correspondence For The First Lady) 18. $43,000 - Tubman, Samantha (Deputy Associate Director, Social Office) 19. $40,000 - Boswell, Joseph J. (Executive Assistant to the Chief Of Staff to the First Lady) 20. $36,000 - Armbruster, Sally M. (Staff Assistant to the Social Secretary) 21. $35,000 - Bookey, Natalie (Staff Assistant) 22. $35,000 - Jackson, Deilia A.. (Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady)

There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life. One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.

Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and "First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe.

Must this crap get posted ever day?

Would once a month suffice?

Moreover the same positions were filled in the Bush White House, the “fact” that Laura had only one assistant isn't a fact it is a lie.

I hope you like being lied to.

All I know is that the one who selects her cloths should be fired as well as the person who told her it was OK to step out of AF1 wearing Bermuda shorts. ;-)

Grumpy for a Friday evening, aren't we. :)

What I'd like to know; What is the carbon-footprint to straighten that nappy hair every day.

...probably enough energy to go plant another flag on 'Mars'.

They’re livin’ and lovin’ the life of wretched excess that befits every Banana Republic dictator and his First Bee-yotch. Think Imelda and Ferdinand, etc. except the Obamas have for the moment, lots more funny money to draw on.
I am actually afraid to add up the salaries of that entire staff. But I may do it before I turn in for the night, and then figure how much the beeyotch costs each taxpayer for the year.

Canadian Free (and worth what you pay for it) Press lies.

They think conservatives are too stupid to catch them in the lie, but will run around acting like idiots based upon the lie.

Every time someone repeats this crap from Canada Free (and worth nothing) Press, they prove that CFP was correct, they CAN lie to conservatives without penalty.

So I hope you like being lied to. Because that is what CFP does, they lie.

...and you must like to get pissed at reading it. Why else would you not just ignore the ‘daily’ [ greatly exaggerated! ] postings of it otherwise?

Because it is worthwhile to point out that ‘Laura Bush only had one’ is a BLATANT LIE.

If my fellow conservatives are being made fools of by an unscrupulous source, I should turn my head and ignore it?

Sorry if by pointing out that there IS no parade is raining on your parade..... but THERE IS NO PARADE.

But if someone wants to march down the street waving a baton in front of NOTHING.... go right ahead. I guess.

But I will still show up to point and laugh and point out that THERE IS NO PARADE.

Canada Free Press lies.

I believe Mrs. Bush had 3 assistants.
It’s not that the first lady has assistants that’s the issue - we expect our first ladies to go to charity functions and certainly they need help with calendaring and logistics. But we do not expect our first ladies to job-share, or to expect taxpayers to support the same amount of assistants as her husband, just as we wouldn’t expect wives to job-share their bank clerk husband’s job just because he was hired for the job (or a husband expecting to share his wife’s insurance executive job).

Mrs. Bush had the same positions filled.

I saw the count at around 20, the same positions filled by people making the same salary, but it depends on if one counts positions where BOTH the POTUS and First Lady are served to get the difference in the numbers.

When Crappy Canada Free Press says Laura only had one, then list positions that were ALSO filled in the Bush White House, they LIE.

You can argue with me about the extent of the lie if you want, but it is still a blatant lie.
