Given a choice, I would not opt for the plan being railroaded through Congress right now. Sure, there is some vague promise that I may keep the coverage I now have (a combination of Medicare and Medigap), but the Medicare is about to be defunded, and the Medigap supplemental is about to be taxed so high it will not be feasible to continue coverage, leaving only the dreaded “public option” available. Should I choose to go with no coverage, I get fined or go to jail.
I do not like those alternatives.
Ammend the bill with a trigger that forces Congress out of it’s health care plan the moment that any American loses his/her chosen health care plan because of this new legislation. Problem solved?
Then if it can’t be provided for everyone...they should have to live under the same health care they are trying to shove down our throats. Boy, I hope someone keeps putting this out there in front of the public. We need to scream to the highest heavens about this. Besides...WE are the ones going to pay for our rats nest health care ... no one else. so. what in theee hell is she blabbering on about anyway? Who is paying for theirs?????
I thought the 1994 Republican Congress passed a law that forbid Congress from exempting itself from laws.
