OUTSTANDING! I must say you gave a most excellent report. Sounded like an exciting time.
Pretty much all the news reports said ~1500 people. Only 1000 tickets were sold, so apparently about 500 or so people showed up without, at various times of the day. Given the bookstore’s restricted location, I’m surprised that many showed up!
Thank you, and ALL of you for your kind comments! :-)
Sorry it took awhile, I’ve had to piecemeal it together in between playing with my toddlers! Finally got it finished tonite though! Better late than never.
Weird, those pics that weren’t loading *are* loading now! Oh, well.
Ah ok - 1500 people. Eat your heart out, Al Gore!!!! (Maybe he had 50.... at his most recent book signing....)
You did a great job of writing all that up = I could feel your and your daughter’s excitement and the shivvveerrrr cold you endured!
Thanks again for the effort.
Thanks for the great pictures - the next best thing to being there. You and all the others who turned out are the salt of the earth, and I’m so glad we are all on the same side.
Old SNL routine “Linda Richmond”—except I really *did* choke up. Maya was not surprised, when she got her black belt they asked parents to say something, and I was so proud of her that I burst into tears, LOL. I admit I get a *little* emotional sometimes when I feel patriotic too, unlike the current office holder in the White House.;-)
After meeting the governor in person, I feel even more hopeful that she will stand up to the powers that be in Washington (even more so now that she’s challenged both Obama AND Goracle on the falseness of global warming on her FaceBook page!) that I’m going to make my tagline more optimistic, because that’s what I’m feeling, more optimistic for America!! The final quote from “Going Rogue”-
