My son was hit by a car and killed. It will be 3 years December 18. It seems impossible right now, but you will get through it.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are going out to you and your fanily.
I know, it’s so hard to go on without your mother. I know what it feels like. Inconceivable, terrifying. You wonder fifty times a day how this could be? And you find yourself thinking of her as if she was still alive, and then having to stop yourself, and it hurts every time.
All I can say is, she is still with you, still close to you. Her spirit will hang around you until you are a little more at peace, and she’ll go up to heaven when you don’t need her direct presence quite so much. She’ll wait for you until you can join her up there.
You may not believe this, but it’s the experience of many. Pay attention. You’ll see her and feel her around you. She is not gone, just invisible to you for the moment.

Oh this breaks my heart. Always remember you Mom is watching over you and always know that she loved you probably more than herself.
I have a college aged/grad school son and he wrote me a note in my recent birthday card and it touched my heart. Hopefully you can find some peace in what he said because I know you feel that way in your heart too.

Every time I visit his grave I cry a little.
He was a GREAT GUY.
I agree —you never really get over it totally. I shudder to think how I’d feel if it were my mom.
