I think it will pay big dividends.
Good stuff. I wish more in the GOP were out there quietly supporting/recruiting. Too many of these guys (I'm looking at YOU, Romney, Huck and Pawlenty) talk big about supporting conservative candidates with their PACs, then actually end up using most of the PAC money to support their own personal ambitions.
I think Hunter was much too willing to make excuses here for the latest results of Huck's craven behavior, but outside of that he did an excellent job in this interview.
Unlike Reagan, Hunter never supported amnesty.
As someone said during the campaign, he’s more a Reaganite than Reagan.
I said that he’s more Reagan than Reagan.
He’s one of the last REAL anti-communists still standing. Something he and Reagan shared passionately.
To me the most impressive thing about these interviews is the fact that he gives these brilliant answers to your questions while he’s driving, or just came back from somewhere, or getting ready to go somewhere. As far as I know, he never knows what you’re going to ask him ahead of time, he just has a great understanding of the big picture, and can address any subject thrown at him.
I love that man!!
1) Huck came out with a strict no amnesty plan. And fully (and conveniently) supported Hunters Border Fence bill. 2) Huck was a fellow promoter of the FairTax 3) Huck bought into Hunters call to re-industrialize America. 4) Huck was nearly Hunters equal in opposing abortion and supporting the 2A.
On #1 he was late to the dance--I'll never forget that LULAC speech
On #2 I'll give Huck and DH some slack--I'm a Flat Tax guy
On #3 and #4 no problem there. I have no doubt about Huck's commitment to life.
All in all thanks for reminding me why DH gave his endorsement. Huck is not evil. But he is a politician. I've got family who have met him and like him, but I do not think he is my kind of conservative--DH and Sarah Palin are...
I
..you're way off here--see post 47, I had forgotten some of that.
I'm part of the Religious Right and have no problem with applying faith principles to public policy--the nation was founded on it...
Amen bro. My days of being interested in finger in the wind politicians, even if nominally conservative, have long since expired.
Thanks for the ping and thanks for keeping his name out front. B4DH.
DH: Socialism is expensive.
***I’m tempted to change my tagline with that one.
It’s great. He’s also happy to tell you when he doesn’t know something, instead of pulling it out of his rear end.
