I concur. Nice to see you again, Pissant. It is nice to see you posting around the boards again. Seems to me I used to see a lot more of you in years past. Have you been on furlough, or am I mistaken?

I like Palin and Hunter, but how is Palin “not as conservative” as Hunter?

The three easiest way for a used car salesman to gain power
is to become a preacher, a politician or get a TV show.

No it’s really not. You don’t get the South at all. Barbour or Riley will absolutely destroy Huckabee with it because here in the South when you commit murder against an innocent we want you put to death and to quote Bocephus, if you ain’t into that we don’t give a damn.

Huckabee committed an unpardonable sin as far as justice goes. This is actually one of my key problems with Jindal too. I don’t think Louisiana has executed anyone in years and that makes me worry what his true feelings on the penalty are. He also needs to man up and get the gurney cranking if he is even considering getting my primary vote.

Just look at the records of Bob Riley in Alabama and Haley Barbour in Mississippi. 19 people have been executed under Bob Riley. In the previous 20 years a grand total of 25 had been executed and 40% of Mississippi’s executions since 1977 have been under Barbour. With Haley Barbour and Bob Riley you have two good governors who are committed to Justice.

With Huckabee you have someone who pardons murderers. We know about Maurice Clemmons and Wayne Dumond. How many others don’t we know about? When will they strike? Who will be the next person who dies because Huckabee was soft on criminals?

Huckabee is more establishment GOP crap that needs to go. We need radicals that are ready to rip and tear down the federal bureaucracy. End the welfare state and suddenly, it won’t be so important to a lot of homos to be “married” to get in on the largess of the welfare state.

Something that I am struggling with. I want Palin/Jindal or Plain or Jindal with another running mate as VP. But what if Huck can beat Obama? Will I hold my nose? I don’t know anymore. I said that I wouldn’t in 2008. That policy of mine is beginning to wane given what Obama is doing to this country. If Palin or Jindal can’t win in 2012 will I settle for Huck? Yes.

Can Palin or Jindal beat Obama? Yes. But will either of them they get the Pres. nomination...

I’m in the samne boat that Rush was in 2008. Do we go with McSame or sit it out and let Obama win?

Regardless, alot can happen in 2-3 years. Obama’s poll numbers may be so low that anyone can beat him...

I’ll save that argument if they both run. I’m not going to beat on Palin.

“In short, he told Couric that he was pro-traditional marriage, not anti-same sex marriage. He said that it’s not that he is against gay marriage, it is that he is for traditional marriage, and that marriage should be between one man and one woman, not one man and one man, one man and two women, etc.”

This above answer is a failing answer and is not something that any social conservative should get behind. Huckabee is not anti-gay marriage? So he thinks that there is nothing wrong with it?

Homosexuality is a corruption of natural human sexuality and is not something that anyone should be forced by law to treat as equal to heterosexuality nor should we be teaching children anything else then that. If Huckabee can not stand up and tell it like it is then he is in no way a leader.

HuckaClemens says, blah, blah, blah. He’s a bald faced liar.

Anyone that supports this jerk..... is supporting another 4 long years of Obama.

Or The One and his shameless bots may cook the books enough to convince all the illegals and illiterates to vote for him

Look California got Ahnold becauase people thought he could defeat Gray Davis. Well we got him....and he isn’t any better ( and in some ways worse) than Davis. Those who voted using your logic WOULD have put McClintock in office had they merely voted their conscience

Non issue in a political sense.

Should he have been given clemency? No way. No how. Never.

Have the waters been muddled enough to make it a non issue? Yes.

That is what I meant, not it wasn’t an issue to me personally.

I sure hope that she can lock it all up in 2012. Either she or Jindal.

STOP IT!

STOP IT RIGHT NOW!

I don’t particularly like Huckabee and worked actively against his nomination in 2008.

But anybody, ANYBODY, is better than what we’ve got.

Let’s win next November’s elections before we start tearing each other apart, OK?

I’m old enough to remember a washed-up ex-VP named Nixon.

At this stage in the game, nobody’s “DONE” — except this country if we on the right don’t get our act together and quit eating each other alive.

We’re never going to fully agree on everything, but my greatest hope is that we will unite on a few very basic points and take this nation back.

That won’t happen with the kind of me-first rancor I’m reading on this thread.

Please.

Huckabee: The John McCain of 2012

“Aw heck, it’s his turn, he did so well last time. Let him do it.”

A slogan that’s brought Republicans so far....
