As a former lib, I can tell you that this is a root philosophy of conservatism:

Human life is precious.

To conservatives, human life is more precious than sucker fish. Human life is more precious than flies. Conservatives honor people who spare no expense for the health of loved ones. Conservatives respect those who spare no expense for their own health.

It seems noble to force the rich to pay for other peoples’ health, but please look at it this way: is it noble to force the rich to pay for drug addicts’ health? Is it noble to force the rich to pay for a drunk’s health? Is it noble to force the rich to pay for the health of illegal immigrants?

Charity is served best from the heart, not when it is forced on people. You force someone to pay money to strangers, and that person will stop and consider worst-case scenarios of how his or her money is being thrown down a rat hole.

Another concept of conservatism: Thou shalt not covet. Thou shalt not steal. Social liberalism is about the legalization of theft and the encouragement of coveting.

There's nothing politically to be gained by passing this current bill. NOTHING. When you do something that 2/3 of the country is telling you not to do, they respond by voting against you. That's how things work.

Not that I doubt this will be bad for the Dems, but...I'm not sure how this KOmmie knows this, because the Congress has never crammed a bill down America's throat that was opposed by 66% of the people.

Obama doesn’t care who hates it. He doesn’t care about the democrats.

He hates America, hates most of the citizens (even the black ones) and is simply trying to wreak havoc. His goal is to have our economy a smoking crater and all of us wandering the landscape, barefoot and in rags, scrounging for food in the dumps.
