Sam Vaknin is not a psychologist but is himself a pathological narcissist who has devoted many years of his life to the study of his illness. He operates a website that has a wealth of excellent and uniquely insightful information. He, like any expert, has his own biases and had written a prior article stating that George Bush was also a narcissist and part of his diagnosis was based on his assumption that Bush ‘enjoyed’ getting soldiers killed etc. Obviously I don’t agree with his Bush diagnoses because it relies on mind reading - he makes assumptions about what Bush’s motives ‘must’ be whereas OBama’s narcissism requires mere observation - Obama’s constant need to refer to himself in speeches, his lack of interest in governing in spite of his need to be constantly acknowledged as Caesar. His thoughtlessness and preening posturing and his belief that his mere presence will solve the world’s problems.
I appreciate those who try to get the word out about Obama but many of us tried in thread after thread as soon as Obama showed up as a presidential candidate. I dunno - maybe more people will believe it now that they have seen him but psychologists and the average joe like us were warning about this prior to the election and for some reason - it just didn’t seem to matter to people.

For those who agree that Obama is a narcissist, there is another avenue (also discussed at length during the primary) you may want to explore if you are interested. It is the belief shared by many that Obama uses a sales/persuasive technique used as NLP which uses cognitive ‘tricks’ to manipulate audiences (think Hitler). It’s a form of hypnosis used by unscrupulous lawyers, politicians, and yes - carnival hypnotists, and thus far it is the only document I have seen that wraps the oddness of Obama into one package (for example - those symbols and emblems he uses, his body language, his TELEPROMPTER!,the way his signs read attached to the podium, his odd phrasing and most of all - the bizarre way some of his audiences fainted and fawned over nothing - and by that I mean his speeches). I’ll put the link below - the document is in an academic format and when I initially read it - I had to skim the repetitive parts in the first 20 percent of the document and then it got better (detailed and specific) as I got further into the document and I recall that the footnotes also made for interesting reading.
