What is Barack Obama doing? UPDATED: Why Interpol, Mr. President?
examiner ^ | December 31, 2009 | Mark Tapscott

..There's also this observation by National Review's Andy McCarthy: "Being constrained by the Fourth Amendment, Freedom of Information Act, and other limitations of the Constitution and federal law that protect the liberty and privacy of Americans is what prevents law enforcement and its controlling government authority from becoming tyrannical." Executive Order 12425 circumvents all of that.

So tell us, Mr. President, why do you think Interpol should operate with no accountability and no transparency in our country? Is this what you had in mind in your 2008 presidential campaign when you said "we've got to have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the U.S. military?

Pentagon generals and admirals answer to the president and Congress. Under Obama, Interpol answers to no American...

UPDATED: Will Obama explain why Interpol?

White House spokesman Christina Reynolds told The New York Times' Charles Savage that the Obama administration said nothing beyond a perfunctory web site announcement about Executive Order 12425 because "there is nothing newsworthy here."

If there is nothing newsworthy involved, then why won't the White House answer these basic questions regarding the EO?

* Every other international organization granted such exemptions deals with mundane issues like fish - the International Pacific Halibut Commission - or disaster aid - the Red Cross. But Interpol is a law enforcement operation. Why does President Obama think it appropriate to give such exemptions to an international law enforcement operation, and what does he want Interpol to do here in the U.S. than it cannot do unless it is given these exemptions?

* Does the search and seizure exemption extend to the activities and documents created by U.S. Department of Justice employees working with and for Interpol in New York and Washington, D.C.?

Interpol agents are human beings, I presume.

Maybe I’m wrong on this, but... Bush “war crimes.” I’m probably being too paranoid, eh?

This needs to stay on top. I have not seen anything about this in the general news. It’s not even on FOX News.

And I don’t care if people post duplicates or variations.

There seems to be two principal interpretations of what Obama is intending here:

The mild interpretation -- Obama wants Bush and Cheney brought up on war crimes charges and handed over to an international court for sentencing.

The scary interpretation -- Obama plans to raise a domestic army, associated with Interpol, which will not be subject to the US Constitution and will serve him directly in the event of domestic unrest.

Yeah, that latter interpretation crossed my mine, too. I know Barry really wants that new “army.” After all, he mentioned it in his campaigns, like he’s mentioned many other things that are coming to pass.

Without further explanation from Totus, your guess seems reasonable.

Obama knows that our military leaders are on the threshold of openly refusing him, any possible provocation using troops or national Guards to make arrests of “dissident”, tax evaders, elected officials of states refusing Obamacare etc. would spark an open rebellion.

His only option in enforcing even the most subtle forms of Sharia laws would require those patently loyal to him, those with loyalties NOT of or towards America.

Obama wants to subjugate the US to any and every international regime he can. He knows this would never pass Congress, heck I doubt its Constitutional, but he will keep doing things like this.

I just hope the GOP will undo this and everything else when they get power. This can be undone with another EO, I would say it’d better be on Day One.

Mr. President, why do you think Interpol should operate with no accountability and no transparency in our country?

Does BO even have the authority to declare this?

.....not that the Congress or SC would stop him, but does he legally have this authority? My guess is no.

Obama needs to explain the motivation behind this. The fact he signed it just before Christmas, seems like an intent to avoid public awareness.

"....Obama plans to raise a domestic army, associated with Interpol, which will not be subject to the US Constitution and will serve him directly in the event of domestic unrest."

Seems more and more likely.
Which is one of the reasons several million American citizens own AR-style weapons.........
I'm not sayin'.....I'm just sayin'.....

(Blue helmets, Interpol, ACORN, whatever......)

Note

The Obama executive order number is #13524 (ammending Reagan's E.O. 12425). I got it wrong on my blog too until a FReeper pointed it out to me. When you go to look at the original HERE you'll see that the number 13524 isn't any to be found ... so it is easy to pick up on the 12425. Important, not really. But if gives a lib a hammer to hit you over the head with ... so be careful. (Note how the "big boys" are calling it 12425.)

I am not a “strongly supports” of President Bush, but if they dare arrest him, then that is likely the final straw. The left had better cool it and stop with the fuel.
