ah. Well, regardless, it will be interesting to see what Obama and the Dems do about this. This is Obama’s Katrina now. He’ll be judged by the outcome here and he won’t be able to blame anyone but himself and his party if it turns into a giant cluster F... and I strongly believe that that will be the case if he declines to drive a stake through the heart of Haiti’s entrenched corruption.

I disagree. There's no downside here for Obama. Haiti was a hellhole few Americans concerned themselves with before the earthquake and if that remains that afterwards, it won't reflect on That One at all.

On the other hand, if we go in and help the Haitians make something of themselves in the aftermath, Obama will have no trouble taking all the credit for it.
