I'm in downtown Boston and have been swimming. . . . It is Ted Kennedy's seat, after all.

Most folks thing of politics in terms of their representation. However, the bottom line is the electorate some of which hang out at DU. It’s really NOT the pols that are driving this country over the edge, its that part of the electorate that believes the govt is a snack machine that exists to satisfy their wildest whims. This isn’t a DC centric problem, the electorate is the real problem!!

I'm in downtown Boston and have been swimming in this race long before 90% of the DU punditry even knew it was happening. . . . I'm actually getting a kick out of all the high-flown opinionating going on around here, because maybe 1% of the opinions evince any knowledge whatsoever about on-the-ground Massachusetts politics. I'm a PRO! I'm an INSIDER! I'm a PLAYER! . . . I AM WILLIAM RIVERS PITT, FER *****SAKE!!!!!!
(Rule #1 in any Pittster thread: It's always all about Will.}

We'll all sink to our knees and pray Martha Coakley wins. . . . Marsha Coakley is a LOCK! Take it to the BANK! To quote a DUmmie, "Would Will Pitt be posting this if it wasn't true?"
To: PJ-Comix
HEADS UP: I got press credentials for the Coakley party tonight. I heard they were giving away free beer, hoping somebody will show up.
To: PJ-Comix
I will be live-blogging from inside the center of the Democratic universe. . . . I'm an INSIDER, d*mmit! Look at MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
To: PJ-Comix
It'll either be a room-fulla-doom, or a joyful place to be. Wait a minute, wait a minute, Will! Didn't you just tell us we could BANK IT that it will be a room full of JOY???? A Coakley LOCK?? What's this hint of doubt creeping in??

Better bring lillies - it's a wake! Consider the lilies of the failed, how they grow.

You know Mass politics - what's your gut tell you? "Pass the Alka-Seltzer!"
To: PJ-Comix

For what it's worth, the city is a skating rink. . . . And Pitt is on thin ice.
To: PJ-Comix
For what it's worth, the city is a skating rink. . . . Where's the Zamboni?

7:30 p.m. EST: The lobby outside the Sheraton ballroom where Coakley will end her campaign in victory or defeat. . . . In VICTORY, Will, in VICTORY! Don't say the "D" word! Please, Will, she's GOT to win! She's GOT to! And you ASSURED us, Will Pitt, you said we could BANK IT that she would win! Why, I put my LIFE SAVINGS on Intrade, simply based on your expert insider information! Oh please oh please oh please. . . .
To: PJ-Comix
Maybe 30 people, campaign workers and press, are milling about waiting for something to do, somewhere to go. . . . Coakley staff, looking for some reporter to knock to the ground. . . .
To: PJ-Comix
this time is akin to the ionization blackout that happens when returning spacecraft hit the atmosphere. This sentence is akin to the convoluted tortured metaphors that Pitt employs when he hits the keyboard.
To: PJ-Comix
7:45 p.m. EST: The doors to the ballroom will open in 15 minutes. . . . And then all the rats can escape the sinking ship.
To: PJ-Comix
The place looks ready for a Rolling Stones concert. . . . Roll a stone in front of the tomb, Marsha Croakley is toast.
To: PJ-Comix
The place looks ready for a Rolling Stones concert. . . . They can sing "Martha's Little Helper," but they still can't get no "Satisfaction" and will have to "Paint It Black" because of the "Brown Sugar."
To: PJ-Comix
8:02 p.m. EST: I'm in the room, availing myself of the free food. . . . Why am I not surprised?
