the new effort is to associate the anger that voters expressed at the polls (in Massachusetts) with the momentum that carried Obama into office.

Is there even one person in a hundred, regardless of political beliefs, who would honestly believe that nonsense? Some might say it, but actually believe it?

The believing or philosophical Liberal believes something is true because he says it is true. Reality is a mental construct. I have been educated in this by my old bud who is now a professor at UF. He is very high IQ but, as with most such folks in the Academy, severely limited by his milieu.These folks believe that their imagination constitutes reality but they cannot make the obvious link i.e. that they do not have to "struggle" to bring about the Utopia of which they dream, they merely need to think it and it will be real. They compromise with their view of Reality and come to believe that they "merely" must make all other people, or, at least, all those who survive, believe in their Utopia.
