The military support is for the sole purpose of helping to provide security in the stricken area where desperation has caused people to resort to unspeakable brutality on each other as they scramble for food, shelter and aid...

You can see the entire source list here. If you do look at the list, don’t bother looking for Venezuela. You won’t find it. Hugo Chavez hasn’t lifted a finger in the effort to help Haiti. On second thought, maybe he has lifted one finger.

Hugo Chavez is a bully and a thug; the sooner someone takes him down, the better for Venezuela, the better for South and Central America (think Honduras), and the better for the U.S.

Leftist leaders absolutely love natural disasters that eliminate population. It saves them bullets.

I’m still waiting to see if Oliver Stone or Michael Moore will comment on why the Haitians fleeing Haiti will attempt the longer and dangerous journey by boat to the USA rather than sail to the MUCH closer peoples Paradise in Cuba with it’s wonderful health care system.
