Really? Our local forecasts have not been very accurate lately.

This is a beautiful wxloop that explains everything, I guess I do see a little spin-up.

The thunderstorms forming NE to SW (opposite the normal) are the type that gave us the Jarrell F-5.

SE Virginia also.

Yes, the NEasters which are really lows moving up the coast are the primary winter storm origin. But they are most invariably rain or mixed S/R because of off the ocean effect.

Like another poster above says, one almost never sees the trajectory seen on this map, at least in terms of snow.

I'm skeptical on snow accumulation in tidewater or the eastern shore; it will be interesting.

But poor NC just can't get away from the ice stuff. I'd rather the fluffy stuff than that.

Here in Tidewater I call them “drive by blizzards”, snow on Tuesday, slush and mud Wednesday and golf on Thursay.

If we sell the house it’s off to the Hilton head area.

Had an old buddy from the mountains of North Georgia. That is really Bubba country, and that was his nickname. He would tell us stories about the rednecks of North Georgia and really crack us up.

Oh yeah, we have rednecks up here. And we also have computer geeks up here, and tree huggers up here, and Mexican chicken pluckers up here, and a couple of Democrats up here. And yes, there are funny stories now and then up here. What we don’t have up here is snow. So I’m hoping for some.
