Because any idea that suggests reducing the size and scope of Government malfeasance is anathema to a politician like Obama. It's that simple.

Conservatives have ideas. We're not cruel, indifferent or heartless. We love every one and we'd like people help themselves. And there will be a safety net for every one in hard times until they can get back on their feet. A future of permanent dependency upon the states of massive debts and a shrunken economy is not a future for America. We must do all in our power to bring about the opposite. Man needs to be happy and only free men can pursue their own happiness. Guaranteeing the pursuit of it - not the outcome - is at the focus of conservative thought.
