I think it has to do with the way technical people look at the world.
If you listen to the links thoughtfully provided you hear her say quite simply she DOES NOT HAVE A POSITION.
Is this a bad public relations move? In the context of the current public debate probably so.
People who think technically will admire her straight forward answer, all the other usual suspects who can not think technically will scratch their brainwashed heads.
If the answer is not no, you must be crazy.
A society that exalts philosphers because philosophy is a high calling and denigrates plumbers because plumbing is a lowly trade will have neither pipes nor theories which hold water.
Best regards,
Ah yes, that entire statement you gave just reminded me of Obama. It boils down to we just don’t “get it” right?
We understand. We understand she either believes it herself or she refuses to denounce it since the bulk of her support comes from them. Either way she punched herself. For sane people not beholden to the insane it’s an easy yes or no question even from a “technical” standpoint from which this insanity has been debunked again and again.
Yes, if you listen carefully she said she didn’t have a position, but she followed up afterwards with a press release saying she is not a Truther. I have no reason to disbelieve her denial, but the KBH and Perry supporters have been saying that her answer to Beck was affirmative and that the immediate clarification is a deception.
She bungled the interview, and it is a shame. Still, giving a bad interview is far less a fault than the years of betrayal that Perry and KBH have given us.
I am a trained scientist and engineer, educated to think critically and technically.
An, using my trained technical thinking faculties, the only conclusions that I can reach is that Medina is: a) too simple minded to aspire to a governorship. (maybe she could be a foil for Joy Behar or Rosie O’Donnell) and b) that she is incapable of giving a straight yes or no to a simple question but instead professes to be incapable of concluding on the basis of common sense and the evidence of our senses that the US government would not and could not have conspired to allow 9-11.
With respect to “truthers” in general, it is clear to me that they are not crazy, they are merely stupid and unable to follow facts and logic. If Medina is one of them, and it appears that she is, then she does not deserve your vote or anyone’s vote.
Really - saying that you have no position on the culpability of the US government in a conspiracy to murder thousands of its own citizens is the equivalent of having no position on morality of murder. It is MORONIC.
