So, she doesn't get to be in the public eye until Trig grows up? I challenge you to tell me ONE other public figure with a mentally challenged child, whose child gets ridiculed. And YES, there are some. You talk like a victim. She gets to choose. She can either be in public and have her family be subjected to this stuff or she can go away and make it stop. She cannot be on the public stage making policy statements that make people mad (not me, but her opposition and their base), then play little miss offended every time someone tries to get to her.

How about this - she defends disabled children, she says whatever the hell she wants, she wins the presidency in a cheering landlside, she kicks your employers out on their asses, and then you have to go pump gas instead of shilling for Leftists on Free Republic.
I'd say more, but then I might get nasty.

No, I do not. You propose a FALSE choice for Palin: either put up with trash talking your defenseless baby or get out of politics.
Palin chooses to BOTH defend her child, AND make policy statements. She is not playing "Little Miss Offended" -- that's your false characterization of her expression of outrage.
She gets to do both. She is not bound by your rules, she makes her own.
