CA Parental Control Software Blocks FR as HATE site but allows DU site to go through

I just wanted to inform you that one of the computers I have at home has COMPUTER ASSOCIATES' SECURITY CENTER installed on it as part of the package I have with my recent Internet and cable service provider -- CABLEVISION.

This is the CA SECURITY CENTER VERSION 4.0.0.205

Now, everytime I try to access FR on this computer, it blocks me with the following reason :

I have to override it by entering an administrative password to temporarily allow the FR site to go through my browser.

Out of curiosity, I tried going to the DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND site and lo and behold, the CA Parental Control software ALLOWED the site with no problems.

Just wanted you people to be aware of this double standard.

I wouldn’t use the word but I have also seen the F word, the S word, the B word, along with GD and the misuse of the word hell.

I guess I’d review post #11 and see if you can get someone else to duplicate what you are getting prior to putting a lot of work into phone calls...

We always used to say that CA was the Ferengi of the software industry. There was no piece of software so screwed up that it couldn’t be made worse by CA acquiring it.

Notice the time I am posting this --- This is now the amount of time I have waited since I called their Tech Support line ( read my previous post where I posted the number I called ).

I'm getting music and the message that appears every minute telling me : "We're looking forward to speaking with you, so please stay on the line.". Ten more minutes of waiting and I'm quitting and uninstalling the CA Security Center from my PC.

Are you joking? No way! I feel like I need a shower after visiting the site when someone links to it. I see no point in misrepresenting the facts. There are people on FR that use curse words. It isn’t like over at DU but it also isn’t true that you will never see curse words on FR.

Well not exactly. I would think that is a literal use of the word although I would never tell someone that. I was think more along the lines of “what the ....”. I would consider that a curse word.
