Actually, light-skinned mutations were both forced to leave Africa, due to skin that burned easily in the tropical sun, and able to leave due to light skin that was more able to produce vitamin D from more oblique sun rays. At the same time, the out-migration was forced to adapt to many new environments while those left behind could continue as they had for 200,000 years. Adaptability selects for intelligence and changes the bell curve of the group but says nothing of individuals or potential. The future will select for intelligence in all groups, or it will be engineered, in the long run.
