Down here in North Florida my mother-in-law always said, don’t put away the coats and blankets until after Easter. It has been a reliable rule-of-thumb for the almost 40 years that I have lived here and it doesn’t seem to matter how early or late Easter comes. As surely as you put all your winter stuff in storage ten days before Easter because the weather has been nice for a week, there will come another cold snap. After Easter it may get chilly again once but only a little.
Low 20s at night, 50-60 during the day out here north of CDA, Idaho. We’ve gotten overnight temps of 25 as late as mid-May, so the wardrobe gets a little mixed this time of year.
I always look forward to the Great Winter Wear - Summer Wear switchout. And no, I’m not like some of the locals who combine shorts and a parka.
