Many of us don’t understand the full meaning of grace. We think of grace as a girl’s name or a church word and don’t really understand the full impact of God’s grace on our lives. But the whole foundation of our faith centers on the concept of grace so let’s explore what’s so amazing about grace.

“Mankind errs here,
By folly, darkening knowledge.

But, for whom
That darkness of the soul is chased by light,

Splendid and clear shines manifest the Truth

As if a Sun of Wisdom sprang to shed
Its beams of dawn.

Him mediating still, Him seeking, with Him blended, stayed on Him,
The souls illuminated take that road
Which hath no turning back—their sins flung off
By strength of faith.

Who will may have this Light; Who hath it sees.”

- Bhagavad-Gita, Ch: V, Lines 48-60.

Cindy Arrington only has it half right. The Bible is clear on the matter that man cannot be saved by faith alone, but must do good deeds.

And here’s the proof, a quote from the Bible:

“...and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” That’s one very hard good deed to do. And it comes from the greatest teacher ever known, Jesus Christ, when he told us to pray the Our Father.

You may wish to learn to read prior to claiming to teach theology.

You have both her name wrong and your hermeneutic wrong.

I fail to see the works there. What about this:
Isaiah 64:6
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
The need and the desire to do good works comes from the Holy Spirit AFTER we are saved.

the pro-life fuddy duddies that I know here say:
“If I don’t like it, it mustn’t be a grace ...”
