There were tens of thousands of Latinos/Hispanics in DC yesterday. I didn't pay much attention to their rally, as we were on the House side of the Capitol shouting "Kill the Bill!", etc. (and NOT shouting any racial nor homophobic slurs, as the 'RATs have LIED about us this weekend). We also spoke and/or chanted to all Congressmen/women who walked or drove by us.
Back to the immigration rally: The people were ALL bussed in. One of their bus rendezvous points was near our hotel... it was amazing to see. The "coordinators" of the people on the busses wore t-shirts that said "Trabajados Unidos" (United Workers something...), so you know some Workers' Union was behind the effort. (Surprise, surprise) They were barking orders to others over their cell phones in front of the hundreds of buses.
Most of the people that I saw at the immigration rally were large Latino/Hispanic families, several generations, and ALL were pushing babies in strollers. They looked clueless, like they were waiting for someone to tell them what to do next. Most of them wore matching white t-shirts and carried professionally printed signs and small American flags (all provided FREE to them, of course). There were a few bold young Hispanic guys that got in our faces with printed signs that said something like "My faith, my country, my VOTE!", but they were pretty harmless overall.
They were ALL OVER the west side of the Capitol and Mall area... it was incredible.
Also, we drove home to Connecticut last night up I-95 through New Jersey. We made a brief stop at the Chesapeake House rest stop center in Maryland. Scores of busses with NJ plates pulled up the same time we did, and when the doors flung open: Out spilled young people - mostly black and Hispanic - ALL wearing matching t-shirts: Healthcare Reform Now. They were purple-ish, but it wasn't the classic SEIU purple. I don't know who/what Union was behind this group.
Sickening and disheartening... there's a LOT of muscle behind these movements, all likely run by Unions and leftists like George Soros. We've GOT to defeat these people somehow...
