I think you want to say that you have never been a big supporter of Israel, rather than saying that you have never been a "Jew-lover."

Sounds a bit pejorative to say "I've never been a Jew-lover."

Your statement reminds me of an article written by William Safire in about 1980. He asked a number of college students for the definition of "Antisemitism".

One student actually stated, "Antisemitism is to hate Jews more than you are supposed to."
