“He’s a great guy but has the charisma of margarine. You have to be able to dynamically state your case and he can’t. Cream rises to the top.”

Duncan Hunter is one of the best statesmen this country has ever had. If you don’t know that, you’ve not paid attention.
Or you’re just spewing about something you know nothing of.

McCain was the GOP pres candidate...Are you going to try to tell us he is dynamic.....has chrisma???

PLEASE!

I didn’t say he wasn’t a great statesman. Nor do I think McCain had a tremendous amount of charisma. I didn’t say that either. McCain was not my choice. Doesn’t really matter anyway because by the time the primary gets to my state the nominee has been chosen. One of the problems in this media savvy country (and one that Reagan understood) is that you not only have to have great ideas but be able to enthusiastically promote them both at home and abroad. Hunter has the right philosophy. It has nothing to do with what he believes. If that was all it took he would have won the last election. He never even got out of the primaries. Never got enough percentage of the vote to lift him from the bottom of the pack. Unfortunately, dynamic communication is vital today. I didn’t make the rules. It’s been like that since Kennedy and Nixon.
