I guess this is one way Obama can convince Americans that they should convert to Islam.

Muslims and Amish.
This makes the law discriminatory based on religious belief. This makes it unconstitutional.

Looks like an avenue that can be used to make this travesty as complex and difficult to implement as possible. We are ALL members of exempted classes and should file as such. And when they deny one claim file another using a different expempted class.

Becoming Muslim sure seems to be a whole lot easier than Amish and you get special priveledges at airport secrity too.

Please explain - I’m a little slow.
Where does it exempt Muslims?

Suddenly I feel the urge to start my own sect of Islam: the Lunni's. We'd meet in a converted tavern that hadn't been converted, and we'd study the perversions of infidels, such as erotic dancing, loud music, and an overabundance of good food ... all in the name of the Profit ... er, I mean ... Prophet. Women would be encouraged to attend, wearing our version of the burkha, which used to be called the "miniskirt." And we'd pore over the Koran, especially when doing Number Two in the bathroom, which would double that noble book's usefulness.
'Scuse me. Time for Happy Hour. Er ... I mean ... prayers.

health care sharing ministry ? Is that the mailing I get every so often, I think it's called medishare: it's for Christians, one pays a small premium ( like $200/month) and shares expenses, and prayers for those who need it ? I think it includes a high deductible insurance policy.
This could be a significant out.

In all seriousness, we should absolutely inundate the Gestapo with exemption requests. And then appeal them. And appeal the appeals. Tie this claptrap up in red tape until it strangles itself in the crib.

I was curious as to what a "health care sharing ministry" is so I Googled. Found this at
http://www.healthcaresharing.org/
What is a health care sharing ministry?
A health care sharing ministry (HCSM) provides a health care cost sharing arrangement among persons of similar and sincerely held beliefs. HCSMs are not-for-profit religious organization acting as a clearinghouse for those who have medical expenses and those who desire to share the burden of those medical expenses. These organizations are known as health care sharing ministries (HCSM).
