Ignoring the pleas of the victims of sexual abuse by Catholic clergy, Pope Benedict XVI used Chrism Mass celebrations to focus on abortion instead of the ever-widening scandal.

This is while abuse victims, the number of whom is increasing daily, have asked the Vatican to clearly address the issue.

The Pope has only written a letter to the “Irish faithful,” which many of the Church’s followers in Ireland described as “disappointing.”

Pope Benedict XVI seemed to hint against pursuing legal action in the pedophile priest scandal by recalling Jesus’ teachings to turn the other cheek.
