No, I don't think so. This is one of those times when I really want to be wrong: I think the "Reichstag fire" is coming, and they're planning it now.
Remember, our current economic crisis that blew up in the middle of the election, this "October Surprise" was triggered by a small change in the way banking assets are measured. One small change and boom, right in the middle of the election. We're still dealing with the wreckage.
They'll invent a reason to come after the Limbaughs, Becks, and teapartyers. I think they need to do it before November, while they still control both houses of congress. Call me paranoid.
