>>Paul Ehrlich has been promoting a wide variety of hoaxes over the years.

He is a misguided Malthusian from way back, and that is being charitable.

My favorite anecdote regarding him is his bet with Julian Simon.

Simon-Ehrlich wager
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon-Ehrlich_wager

Ehrlich has been so wrong about so much for so many decades that it is just simply amazing anyone listens to the man.

I posted this two years ago on pretty much the same kind of article. Can’t be posted enough to show their agenda.

It’s been posted before but I’ll do it again, just to show the hypocrisy and outright lying the envirowackos and globull warming advocates do all the time- in their own words:

“I think if we don’t overthrow capitalism, we don’t have a chance of saving the world ecologically. I think it is possible to have an ecologically sound society under socialism. I don’t think it’s possible under capitalism.”
—Judi Bari, Earth First! member.
[Environmentalism equals replacing capitalism with socialism.]

“The environmentalist’s dream is an egalitarian society, based on rejection of economic growth, a smaller population, eating lower on the food chain, consuming a lot less, and sharing a much lower level of resources much more equally.”
—Aaron Wildavsky, political scientist and professor.
[Environmentalism equals making everybody equal; that is, it’s communism.]

“No matter if the science is all phony, there are collateral environmental benefits... [C]limate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.”
—Christine Stewart, Canadian Environment Minister.
[Environmentalism equals changing the world.]

“We must make this an insecure and inhospitable place for capitalists, and their projects... We must reclaim the roads and plowed land, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams, free shackled rivers, and return to wilderness millions of tens of millions of acres of presently settled land.”
—David Foreman, EarthFirst! member.
[Environmentalism equals a return to primitive living.]

“We’ve got to ride the global-warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing, in terms of economic policy and environmental policy
—Timothy Wirth, Clinton Administration U.S. Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs, and one of a number of politicians (including Barbara Boxer, Barney Frank, Al Gore, John Kerry, Christopher Shays, and others) who were designated as “Green Leadership for the ‘90s.”
[Environmentalism equals changing policy by claiming ? even without substantiation ? it’s necessary to save the world’s environment.]

“[W]e have to offer up scary scenarios [about global warming and destruction of the environment], make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts one might have... Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.”
—Stephen Schneider, Stanford University environmentalist.
[Environmentalism equals lies “if necessary.”]

“We routinely wrote scare stories about the hazards of chemicals, employing words like “cancer,” and “birth defects” to splash a little cold water in reporters’ faces... Our press reports were more or less true... Few handouts, however, can be completely honest, and ours were no exception... We were out to whip the public into a frenzy about the environment.”
—Jim Sibbison, former EPA press officer.
[Environmentalism equals government-sponsored deception.]

“Not only do journalists not have a responsibility to report what skeptical scientists have to say about global warming, they have a responsibility not to report what these scientists say.”
—Ross Gelbspan, former editor of The Boston Globe.
[Environmentalism equals silencing debate, and stifling contrary opinions.]

“I would freely admit that on [global warming] we have crossed the boundary from news reporting to advocacy.”
—Charles Alexander, Time magazine science editor.
[Environmentalism equals indoctrination.]

Thanks hadit2here great quotes. Good one by Timothy Wirth whose also in the Club of Rome. His profile is really worth reading. He fits the profile - view his jobs in the WH and the UN, his passion for the kyoto treaty, all things environmental, pals with Clinton, Gore and many others in his administration including Carol Browne whose back in the EPA or thereabouts, John Heinz - Theresa’s husband - was a good friend...etc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Wirth

Tony Blair is also a member of the Club interesting that he got “many small jobs” at banks in Wall Street and JP Morgan 2008 because “you know all this globalizion with currency”. Yes, they all stay close to the money.

The Club of Rome are the big bosses. The UN and their many NGO Depts do their bidding and are the coordinators with the Czar-types globally especially in the US because this is where they’re concentrating at the moment. Note Clinton and Carter are on the list. Carter gave Bush a hard time - he was coerced into things he wouldn’t normally do by friends aka traitors - Cheny was never fooled.

“The Club of Rome subsequently founded two sibling organizations, the Club of Budapest and the Club of Madrid. The former is focused on social and cultural aspects of their agenda, while the latter concentrates on the political aspects. All three of these ‘Clubs’ share many common members and hold joint meetings and conferences. The Chuch of Rome (CoR) has also established a network of 33 National Associations. Membership of the ‘main Club’ is limited to 100 individuals at any one time. Some members, like Al Gore and Maurice Strong, are affiliated through their respective National Associations (e.g. USACOR, CACOR etc)....

Some current members of the Club of Rome or its two siblings:

Diego Hidalgo – CoR executive member, co-founder (with Gorbachev) of the Club of Madrid, founder and President of the European Council on Foreign Relations in association with George Soros.

Ervin Laszlo – founding member of the CoR, founder and President of the Club of Budapest, founder and Chairman of the World Wisdom Council.

He continues to point the media in the direction of the Pope. Our Pope is onto all of these people and they know it. They’ve slandered him so much that no one hardly pays attention to him anymore except to slur him. The same thing is happening in the Anglican/Epis/Meth/Pres/churches - bronxville).

There are more quotes at this site. It’s one of the more credible sites as they back up claims with sources. I think some on the list have been indoctrinated into thinking they’re doing good while the rest are true believers. What do they believe? What are their long-term goals aka their long-term solution on their farcial sustainable development scheme? They know it’s a farce because they made it up, with the help of their farcial university departments who use farcial data for the usual idiots who think it’s all about the environment, socialism, climate, organized religion, minorities, fairness, homosexual marriage, social justice, housing justice, or whatever...there’s enough to appease everyone yet at the same time plenty to instigate a crisis if the need arises. What’s it all about...? When one studies the quotes, their writings and movements of the last few decades, especially their overpopulation thesis, one can imagine the ultimate outcome.

I think most of them got some sort of scholastic prize. I guess it makes them more venerable. Note Deepak Chopra on the list - he got lots of indoctrinating time on PBS - nonprofit money (and ours) - nothings for free. Maurice Strong was also a new age guru. They cover everything on the list from bankers, to animal lovers, new agers, an ex-catholic priest, other religious, ecologists, philosophers, educators, biologists etc.

Here’s some more quotes. It’s enlightening as to what they really think of human beings - it appears they believe we’re a clump of cancer cells for sure and no more human than any other animal -

“A cancer is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells;
the population explosion is an uncontrolled multiplication of people. We must shift our efforts from the treatment of the symptoms to the cutting out of the cancer. The operation will demand many apparently brutal and heartless decisions.’’
- Prof Paul Ehrlich,
The Population Bomb

“Childbearing should be a punishable crime against
society, unless the parents hold a government license.
All potential parents should be required to use
contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing
antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.”
- David Brower,
first Executive Director of the Sierra Club

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“The extinction of the human species may not
only be inevitable but a good thing.”
- Christopher Manes, Earth First!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“The extinction of Homo Sapiens would mean survival
for millions, if not billions, of Earth-dwelling species.
Phasing out the human race will solve every
problem on Earth - social and environmental.”
- Ingrid Newkirk,
former President of PETA

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“One America burdens the earth much more than
twenty Bangladeshes. This is a terrible thing to say.
In order to stabilize world population,we must eliminate
350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say,
but it’s just as bad not to say it.”
- Jacques Cousteau,
UNESCO Courier
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“If I were reincarnated I would wish to be returned to earth
as a killer virus to lower human population levels.”
- Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,
patron of the World Wildlife Fund

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I suspect that eradicating small pox was wrong.
It played an important part in balancing ecosystems.”
- John Davis, editor of Earth First! Journal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the
affluent middle class - involving high meat intake,
use of fossil fuels, appliances, air-conditioning,
and suburban housing - are not sustainable.”
- Maurice Strong,
Rio Earth Summit

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Mankind is the most dangerous, destructive,
selfish and unethical animal on the earth.”
- Michael Fox,
vice-president of The Humane Society
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“A total population of 250-300 million people,
a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”
- Ted Turner,
founder of CNN and major UN donor

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“... the resultant ideal sustainable population is hence
more than 500 million but less than one billion.”
- Club of Rome,
Goals for Mankind
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“I don’t claim to have any special interest in natural history,
but as a boy I was made aware of the annual fluctuations in
the number of game animals and the need to adjust
the cull to the size of the surplus population.”
- Prince Philip,
preface of Down to Earth

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“A reasonable estimate for an industrialized world society
at the present North American material standard of living
would be 1 billion. At the more frugal European standard
of living, 2 to 3 billion would be possible.”
- United Nations,
Global Biodiversity Assessment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Humans on the Earth behave in some ways like a
pathogenic micro-organism, or like the cells of a tumor.”
- Sir James Lovelock,
Healing Gaia

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“The Earth has cancer
and the cancer is Man.”
- Club of Rome,
Mankind at the Turning Point
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Human beings, as a species,
have no more value than slugs.”
- John Davis, editor of Earth First! Journal

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They must have approved of the millions dead from the lack of relatively harmless DDT in Africa...as one of their prizes is the Rachel Carsen Medal...they bestowed this coveted and esteemed award to Anne Erhlich.
