Obama does remind Americans of when the U.S. was really occupied by a foreign power. A Declaration of Independence passage may still resonate: "HE [George III (Obama)] has erected a Multitude of new Offices [Czars], and sent hither Swarms of Officers [recently hired IRS agents] to harass our People, and eat out the Substance."
Yes, the Tea Party desigination fits perfectly.

Aptly applied to the present situation.

Although the author of the posted article won't admit it, the issue of whether Obama is constitutionally qualified as a Natural Born Citizen is an important factor in this valid perception of an invasion by foreigners. Conversely, his feeling demonstrates the wisdom of the Founding Fathers in including the NBC provision.

Rush read this essay on his program today. I was surprised since Rush has been cowardly about covering the topic of Obama’s eligibility. But...Hey! Maybe this is Rush's way of putting one timid toe in the water. Maybe he's found his gonads that have been locked away in some safe deposit box.

Obama ( regarding his natural born status) is NOT behaving like a NORMAL American!

A NORMAL American would be **HONORED** to have proven that he was a natural born citizen. A NORMAL American would promptly have provided **all** of the best evidence proving they were eligible to be president and Commander in Chief of the military.

A NORMAL American would have responded to LTC Larkin’s request that he prove he was a natural born citizen. Only someone very weird would allow the issue to go so far as possible court martial and imprisonment of a decorated officer.

A NORMAL American would NOT WASTE the time and resources of Department of Justice attorneys in an effort to block release of **common** documents that unanointed Americans provide routinely for many reasons! A NORMAL American would not do this at a time when terrorist plots were being laid to KILL soldiers on their bases and recruitment centers and plans arranged to blow planes out of the sky.

A NORMAL American can point to witnesses of their newborn days in the hospital, christenings, babyhood, and childhood. NORMAL Amercians have friends and professors that remember them in college.

Obama is NOT NOT NOT NORMAL! Is it any wonder then that 40% to 50% of the nation have serious questions about his natural born status?

NORMAL Americans don't do any of the above.

Obama is more dangerous than Johnson and Carter, and yet he was more worried then than now? It doesn't make any sense.

I think his point is that, under Johnson and Carter, he worried about America's future -- with Obama, he's not sure that it'll be America!

Rush takes calls that make himself look good. Why take a chance of looking foolish if Obama is a natural born citizen? We have hearsay to question Obama's eligibility, but who besides Obama knows where he was born? Making an issue of it only feeds the lamestream media by giving it more opportunities to deride the birthers.

A NORMAL American would have responded to LTC Larkin’s request that he prove he was a natural born citizen. Only someone very weird would allow the issue to go so far as possible court martial and imprisonment of a decorated officer.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Army does anything it can to avoid giving Lt. Col. Lakin any chance for discovery at a Court Martial, i.e. from an administrative discharge to a railroaded conviction. Civilian courts won't touch it.

The only chance is for enough battleground states to force the issue with new laws being in effect for the 2012 election demanding proof of being born in the USA if Obama chooses to run again.

OMG, how true is that. It's no wonder they hate us.

" Making an issue of it only feeds the lamestream media by giving it more opportunities to deride the birthers."

The Marxist media will take **any** opportunity to deride **any** conservative issue. (I suggest you read Alinsky.)

Therefore......Rush ( the weenie) and the other conservative yappers should STOP allowing the Marxist media to frame the issues conservatives are "allowed" to talk about. It gives the Marxists considerable power that they do not deserve and only get because conservatives are timid.

Why take a chance of looking foolish if Obama is a natural born citizen? We have hearsay to question Obama's eligibility, but who besides Obama knows where he was born?

There is plenty of **fact** to be reported concerning Obama's eligibility. As for his phone calls Rush has considerable control over what will be discussed or not.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Army does anything it can to avoid giving Lt. Col. Lakin any chance for discovery at a Court Martial, i.e. from an administrative discharge to a railroaded conviction.

Re: LTC Lakin

Obama is not behaving like an AMERICAN!

The article Rush discussed is correct. Obama is NOT NOT NOT behaving like an American. How he is handling LTC Lakin is another perfect example!

An AMERICAN president would have been **HONORED** to prove in a prompt manner with all of the very best evidence that he was a natural born citizen.

Only a FOREIGN usurper would allow LTC Lakin's case get as far as it has. A NORMAL AMERICAN would have been **HONORED** to prove to a decorated officer that he was a natural born citizen and eligible to be Commander in Chief.

An FOREIGN usurper lawyers up with personal attorneys. A FOREIGN usuper wastes and misuses Department of Justice attorneys and resources to prevent releasing common documents that unanointed Americans provide routinely for many reasons.

The article is correct. Obama is unsettling precisely because he does NOT act like a natural born, true blue, raised in America, AMERICAN!

No, it's because they are smart is to know that at this time Obama's eligibility is a loser. It only resonates in conservative echo chambers like this forum. Whether the Marxists deserve the power over the lamestream media is a red herring. They don't, but they have it. They decide what the moderates and independents listen to, read and watch on the news. Obama's eligibility is a dead horse. It's time to stop beating it. At this time, it's counterproductive.

It's the moderates and independents that must be flipped. Obama's eligibility is as persuasive to them as an issue as the truther's argument GWB was a neoconservative either directly complicit in 911, or that he knew it was being planned by Al Qaeda and let it happen in order to start a war for oil, against Islam, etc., anything but a response in self defense because Al Qaeda had declared war on us.

The article is correct. Obama is unsettling precisely because he does NOT act like a natural born, true blue, raised in America, AMERICAN!

At least we agree on something. That's why I asked the admin mod to reclassify the article from Bloggers & Personal to News/Activism so it would hang in the editorial sidebar. But I think a lot of Americans on the far left, the blame America first crowd, could be characterized the same way as Obama.

It only resonates in conservative echo chambers like this forum.

Wow! 40% to 50% of the adult in the nation have serious questions about Obama's eligibility. That's a darn big "echo chamber"! I think it is time to go back to the Democrat National Commitee to find a new talking point.

. Obama's eligibility is a dead horse. It's time to stop beating it. At this time, it's counterproductive.

That dead horse seems to be alive and well. 40 out of 90 legislators in Arizona voted to require candidates to prove they were eligible to be on the ballot. And...Other states across the nation are taking up similar bills.

Likely two things are happening simultaneously:

1) The legislators who are **leaders** in their communities and professions ( and likely many are attorneys) see that Obama walked right though a great big loop hole, and now see a reason to fix it. The entire matter would have never crossed their minds if the stink from Obama's dead elephant in the living room hadn't reached their nostrils.

....and...

These legislators, who are **leaders** in their communities and professions (and likely many are attorneys) are getting plenty of pressure from the "echo chamber" (40 to 50 percent of the population) who think Obama is a fraud.

Again....This "dead horse" talking point just won't work any more....Not when 40 to 50% of the population think there is something seriously wrong with Obama's eligibility. The DNC simply can't get away with claiming half the nation are flakes and nuts who are living in an echo chamber giving CPR to a dead horse.

Rush is making a mistake when he ignores Obama's eligibility because by doing so he presents himself as being weak and timid and fearful of being laughed at by the Marxists. By ignoring this subject he appears to be easily manipulated by the Marxist manistream media who are dictating to him what he is allowed to discuss or not. He is also insulting the intelligence his audience. Likely far greater than 40 to 50% of his audience have questions about Obama's eligibility, since they tend to be conservative.

It is possible that Rush can fall from his pedestal of having the largest listening audience. I can't be the only conservative out there looking for a truly conservative, bold, and honest alternative to Rush.

I will make certain to vote and strongly encourage my friends to do the same. In my gut, though, I don’t believe it will make a difference. I think ACORN has everything planned.

I think that the author was trying to convey his thinking that “worried” and “anxious” aren’t the right words to describe his current concern. See preceding sentence. Taken in isolation, that sentence is strange, but in its proper context it is more understandable.

but who besides Obama knows where he was born?

I've actually thought about that question a bit. I don't know if even he knows where he was born (nor who were his parents). If you think about it, the only way any of us "know" about these things is based on what we have been told (mostly by our parents as we grew up). I am just an average American Joe, my parents told me that they were my parents since I was a small child and I've seen my Birth Certificate from time to time as it was needed to register me (or register myself as I aged) for something. I have absolutely no reason to doubt my parents' claim of me as their child, nor to doubt anything about the legitimacy of my Birth Certificate. But like I said, I am just an average American Joe, never any controversial things swirling around me as to who were actually my parents, no divorces and re-marriage, no name changes, no living outside of the USA, no questions of SSN(s), all of my education and work records are available (at least to my knowledge); none of that nonsense.

When you think about it terms of the usurper, the only things that he "knows" are what various people in his (very checkered and often spotty) past have told him.
