Yes, but taking Indian land is not something exclusive to Jackson, by any means. Bear in mind the entire continent had indians from coast to coast at one time.

Also, Jackson did not just shine at Horseshoe Bend, he defeated the brits at NO in one of the most astounding US military campaigns ever. Him leading the charge.

And his heroics against the spanish and the seminoles is also legendary. He was more Patton than McCain, by a long shot. McCain’s claim to fame is as a POW, not a warrior.

Agreed and on point about McCain.

Absolutely, but Jackson was only able to go on because of Horseshoe bend in that war. He bestowed the title of ‘Major’ to Ridge, and claimed to be his friend. His friend was $$$ and power. Not unlike, Obama.
