I can’t remember the exact line, but remember in the movie Hud when the dad tells the son that a country needs to be careful because it will come to resemble the ideas of the men it admires, something like that. You cannot deny the influence ideas have on culture, for good or bad, and indeed, which ideas are admired or abhorred do hve amazing influence. A steady diet of this crap HAS had an influence on the compassion our children have learned to have or not have; we have destroyed ourselves.
