As a mother of boys, I see what you see. When raising them, the oldest is 19, my intention was raise them to be good men first and foremost. The men in my family growing up were manly, I only brothers, so being around “men” was normal to me.
I do think a lot of of it comes naturally and it is society that manipulates it.

As a former student, I saw a lot of developments happen from a firsthand perspective.
The universities adopted new types of education, like ‘Gender Studies’. To this day I don’t know what that means, and I never met someone educated in the field who could explain. Something to do with turning men into women and vice versa, I guess.
In the ‘70s and ‘80s, the radical Left entertained some weird hobbies. Like ‘squatting houses’. It went out of its way to explain that it just grabbed back what belonged to it in the first place: decent housing. It claimed that it did the morally right thing: it persisted in telling us lesser folks that it consisted of true social heroes, fighting for a better society.
I got suspicious. And did a bit of calculating on my own. These guys were on social security. They paid no rent, no gas, water, electricity.
I was shocked what I discovered: in a group of 6 squatters, the annual ‘income’ was roughly thrice that of a small family. The squatters did not work; they could afford trips to other parts of the world (which they did). And if anyone criticized them, the said: hey, we’re artists (hard to believe, I know). Well, they did paint the odd picture, I think 2 annually. Horrifically useless stuff, depicting the end of capitalism. Or something.
Parallel to all of this there was the Great Big Mix-Up Of The Sexes. There is one good word for it: mass confusion. No one got any better from it. Many young and impressionable kids did suffer enormously. They developed (IMHO) mental disorders, like depression, panic attacks, even psychotic episodes. A lot of them, guys and girls, got addicted to substances, and are roaming the streets nowadays. Othere barely keep afloat, like elder welfare mothers, with such damaged family situations that I don’t see much of a future for them.
This is what the left, and all that gender confusion and mixing of identities, did.
And sadly it has crept into the military.

Some people on FR give up too easily. It’s not the example that your son and many of his generation are setting by their example.
We are in a political fight and it’s a fight that will last many years, most likely more than one generation. But we can’t just resign ourselves that the liberals and socialists have won. The Tea Parties are about people engaging in the direction of this country once again, and I am encouraged that there are finally enough people concerned about the future to stand up against the liberals.
You are so right! That is most of the men I know.
My 13 yr. old son’s best friend had his 13th birthday this year out on the hunting land, they built a giant bonfire, shot skeet, had bow shooting competitions and then rode dirt bikes and four wheelers.
No girls invited...they are all going to be in the 8th grade and none of them are into the girls yet. I like it that way!
More importantly, we cannot hand over our kids and say, oh well.
My older boys went to public school. I will say that it was very conservative, as it represented our community.
However, I would tell my kids, the school is there to teach you academics, they don’t make the rules otherwise, I do, as your parent!
We have got to get kids away from the current acadamia and we need to keep them away from TV unless you can get DVD sets of Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy. LOL
The battle is not over though. The pendulum is swinging back. There are still families that have raised their young men and women with so-called "old fashioned" morals and virtues. There is a significant segment of our youth that get it. As pointed out, just look at the valor and selflessness exhibited by most of our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. The failure of a culture built on a rejection of the fact that we were created as male and female, very different but complementary, is quite obvious to anyone (young and old alike) who takes even a moment to reflect upon.
Also, the fact that the "old-school NAGs" (thinking it's still the 70's or something) clinging to their hate of men and masculinity are so unattractive to young women of today that we have a great openning to turn this thing around.
In other words We get the Government we Deserve
Been there for some years now.The hell with what they(feminazis) think or say.
Or, put another way, we get the Government we are willing to fight and die for....

Nicely put. Somewhere I read that quite a few of the 60s/70s generation of feminists have had massive mental breakdowns in their later years.
Not that I’d ever want that to happen to anyone, mind.
But couldn’t it just be that having to defend an indefensible ideology will take a terrible toll on you eventually? Usually one can live in denial only that long, before the truth will reveal itself to one.
The Young Men’s Christian Association used to sponsor Indian Guides, a program that brought grade-school boys and their fathers together using American Indian culture as a theme. However, the program was discontinued, having been branded “racist”—as, indeed, it was. I was a member when I was in grade school, and one of our racist activities was to conduct toy drives on behalf of impoverished children on Indian reservations.
Not only that but physically men are becoming feminised. Skinny, pale, with no muscle mass, no body hair - big heads planted on a stick.
I have chest hair and hair on my forearm and I’ve had many girls say it’s gross but I don’t care.
You will not be able to say that in a year or two ;-> Good luck......
