...”Last Saturday I was proud to be present when my son (see name below on tagline)returned from Afghanistan with 30 other Marines.
...”Have no fear everything you thought used to be great about American still is. This younger generation is everything that the Greatest Generation was.
They will be the ones to take the country back”...
Congratulations to you on having that wonderful, heroic son. The military is the last and greatest hope for most of us out here. We know, in any crisis, they will not turn against the American people but will do everything in their power to protect our freedoms. We just do not like our public schools and our culture telling little boys that being male is evil and that they should all be like women to succeed.
First of all, thank your son and his colleagues for their service to this country.
However,
1. Be careful to use Marines or anyone else from the military as "representative" of the Millenial generation. Only a small percentage of the US population serves in the military, and they are drawn disproportionately from certain regions and religious traditions. Much as I hate to say it, most of your son's generation aren't up to snuff, but will hopefully learn lifes lessons the hard way as I did.
2. Don't fall for the "Greatest Generation" myth that was invented by LEFT WING journalist Tom Brokaw. The GI Generation gave us the Great Society and 40 years of Dem Socialist control of our congress.
