I just don’t think Turkey can project power that far. Their Air Force would not be able to compete. And even if Turkey was 1st class,,, they are in a nasty position. They will be fighting 400 miles from home while Israeli fighters will be practically within sight of their bases.

Not to mention that any Turk strike package will essentially need to fly parallel to the Israeli coast, and would be in a fight before it could even make it to the coast of Gaza.

Turk ships, with no top cover, exposed to the Israali Air Force,,, nasty proposition if you are a Turk sailor.

The assumption that no matter what is thrown at them the Israelis can handle it should be examined carefully to see if it matches reality. They didn’t cover themselves with glory with this boarding party.

These would be the first F-16s ever lost in air to air combat, I think.
