If people aren’t aware of the capabilities of the car they are driving then they shouldn’t be on the road.

I live in Florida ,, there are so many old people with non-existant reflexes that no amount of distance is “safe” .. while I agree that people are reponsible for knowing their and their cars capabilities the simple truth is that very few people do. The cameras are for revenue generation. If you don’t think so then why do the cameras disappear when the revenue generation component is removed by law.
They put cameras up at the intersections with the most accidents and/or reports of people running red lights here where I live.
Speaking of old people, I got into an accident with the old lady from hell last month! She saw me coming and pulled right in front of me. She caused the accident but I was at fault. It still p!$$es me off that she did that.
