I bought Tyrrell’s book and really enjoyed it. I suggest anyone concerned with the history of the conservative movement read it. And, if you can, buy one for a young person or for your library.
Tyrrell examines factors favoring a conservative revival, lays out a conservative agenda, explains the baleful effects of the Kultursmog and takes to task "reformed conservatives" such as David Frum, who seek to steer conservatism in a more "moderate" and "responsible" direction.
This book should both inspire and cheer up conservatives.
