Chilling how closely the USA is shadowing the Japanese cycle after they had their early 90’s banking collapse.
At first they’d gently suggest the worst was over, then it would get worse. Then they’d flatly state that it was over, and it would get still worse. Then they’d aver that the worst was definitely over, and it would get much, much worse.
Then they would shriek it, ever more shrill, each time.
This went on FOR YEARS.
They STILL haven’t really recovered, BTW, and the exact same thing is now playing out in the USA.
Chilling indeed. Also echoes of the 1970's in America, with politicians insisting we must all live with lowered expectations.
