You are absolutely right. But the Republican Party is full of a majority who want to see a conservative platform and elected officials with backbone. We need to be louder and make sure that we hold that party accountable. If more “real Conservatives” get involved on local and state levels than ever have before, we have a chance at reclaiming conservatism.
I am not sure who is more deserving of being ignored, the RATS or the whiners in our dugout.
Many of the most conservative people I know are slowing buying into the environmental con job, they try and push recycling on me all the time... I try to explain to them that recycling is a joke, that it takes more oil/energy to recycle than you save... but they just don't get it. I try and explain to them that if it actually worked, you would see privately owned recycling plants popping up all over the place to get in on the greatest investment of our lifetime.... but instead you only see subsidized operations which even then usually go broke. Even ethanol is a joke, you use more oil to make a gallon of ethanol than you save, which is why ethanol will always cost more than oil. All of this environmental stuff is just feel good drivel. Hardly any of it actually DOES what it is suppose to.
grr...
And if conservatives feel that way
